Hoban students took to the streets of Akron on the Eve of Thanks- giving to provide their friends with an abundance of food and companionship. As usual, Hope shined from everybody, with smiles and laughter mixing with turkey and mashed potatoes.
Perhaps our friend Bernie said it best, when he asked the students to gather around and proceeded to explain that he saw Jesus in their eyes and they saw Jesus in his.
Also, reality set in on this night before Thanksgiving. We would all go home and sleep in our warm beds and wake to a warm house and eat a warm meal. Contrastingly, some of our friends haven't slept in a bed for months--they stay outside under tents in sleeping bags. Let's remember them this Thanksgiving.
